About the Academy
The Academy founder, Tim Brodie, came from a military background, with 30 years of experience in the Canadian Forces. On his retirement he moved to a police environment, providing support to the RCMP. He quickly realized an important lesson: the military is a training environment that goes operational while the police is an operational environment that tries to squeeze in training. That's the niche requirement that the Academy was founded on.
